Navigating the Change
Online Menopause Summit | 3-6 February 2025
Overview
An information, lifestyle and behavioural based online summit for women across Australia navigating perimenopause and menopause.
Menopause and its predecessor peri-menopause are still unspoken of for many women in Australia.
Why is this so critical?
Beyond an individual’s personal wellbeing,
- 20% of the Australian workforce is in the Menopause age-bracket.
- 13% of working women are reported as leaving the workplace entirely due to impacts of menopause, whilst many others seeking lower roles to enable them to stay in the workforce and still manage symptoms.
- The highest age-specific suicide rate for females in Australia is the 45-49 year age group, followed by the 50-54 year age group (the prime ages for perimenopause symptoms).
- Hormonal changes affect pre-existing mental and neurological conditions, as well as the effectiveness of medication.
- A majority of Medical and Health Professionals are not Menopause up-to-date, and so are not taking it into consideration when managing a patients health needs – therefore women need to be advocating for themselves (and need the resources and confidence to do so).
Through our inclusive, free online Summit we aim to build awareness, empower women to have informed conversations, encourage menopause friendly life practices and support women to identify and make the changes they need to life their best life.
How we are different – we take a mind-body-emotions and whole-of-self approach. Information alone is not enough for the change women are going through at this critical part of their lives.
The Queen Be “Navigating the Change” Menopause Summit aims to provide an inclusive platform for women experiencing peri-menopause and menopause.
Through a series of online sessions, workshops, and interactive discussions, we will address the multifaceted aspects of this transition, including physical health, mental well-being, emotional resilience, and lifestyle adjustments.

Who is Queen Be?
We are Queen Be, an initiative by certified social enterprise Learn Grow Become that focuses on a whole-of-self approach to enabling and empowering women through their menopause journey, in particular those in regional, rural and remote locations.
Based in Central Queensland, we appreciate the challenges of finding the support and the answers women need when it comes to their own health and wellbeing, in a topic only now starting to be talked about.
Our Founder, Tanya Rutherford, brings together her background in coaching, facilitation, learning design and conference creation to develop our support platform (community.queenbe.com.au) with relatable and up-to-date resources, and continues to build on this through a regular podcast with guest experts, and the creation of this annual online Summit.
